Germander Speedwell was cultivated as a safe outlet for the irrepressible wordplaying of Evrah, as well as justification to continue to accumulate printed matter on a myriad of subjects.
Germander's carefully collated collections of terminology, nomenclature, and
found words and phrases are characterised by:excessive use of assonance and alliterationuse of uncontrolled plosivessprinklings of spoonerismswrigglings of rhythmsare either rife with fact, or riddled with fancyand contain no artificial adjectives!
These pieces are best experienced aurally, and in performance are usually accompanied by some explanation of the sources, meanings and reasons, or otherwise.
Germander is also the proud owner of a collection of curious and quaint written and
visual material, which is often also displayed or is available for inspection.

This image illustrates an old saying - should you be so callous and unthinking as to pluck the Speedwell, birds will descend to peck out your eyes.
